Asbestos and lead Surveys
Limit exposure and liability with our asbestos surveys and lead surveys.
Asbestos Surveys
Asbestos can occur naturally but can also be found in material used in many facilities or homes built before 1979. Our trained and certified professionals can conduct asbestos surveys that include a visual inspection for materials containing asbestos, sampling for confirmation of the presence of asbestos, and summarizing the data in a report with recommendations for abatement. This plan will include specifications for material handling and dust mitigation to help limit your exposure to asbestos and reduce environmental or health liabilities.
Asbestos is not just a concern during demolition and major renovation projects. Naturally-occurring asbestos can be found in certain types of rocks and can pose a health hazard when dust is created through crushing activities during construction, grading or mining. We will help you understand what precautions are needed and provide all asbestos documentation required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for your project preparation and planning.
Lead Surveys
Our highly experienced team uses a mixture of the latest lead sampling technology, along with the standard paint chip and wipe sampling techniques, to characterize the lead levels in buildings and to create a risk assessment that meets the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requirements. We don’t just dump data into a report to check a compliance box; every report includes a custom lead management plan based on your project’s objectives. We can test for lead in drinking water as well to give you a complete picture on what abatement and protection steps should be taken to limit exposure and comply with applicable regulations.
