A Great Day in Franklin, IN

Progress with Site Remediation Based on IWM's Remediation Strategy.

Franklin mayor, Steve Barnett, shared his excitement with Fox 59 by saying, “This is a great day in Franklin” in response to the progress on remediation The city of Franklin has grappled with volatile organic compounds and other chemicals that were released into the soil and groundwater by the former owner of a local industrial site. The EPA, IDEM, local Franklin government, the Edison Wetlands Association and the If It Was Your Child organization were all part of bringing attention to these environmental concerns. IWM is proud to be part of the solution by testing and investigating the environmental impact for the current industrial owner and creating a remediation plan, which included the recommendation to remove the contaminated and dilapidated sewer line.
