REDEVELOPMENT PLANS AT REMEDIATED OMNISOURCE SITE

IWM CONSULTING SUCCESSFULLY REMEDIATED THE "NORTH RIVER" DEVELOPMENT SITE THAT IS POISED TO BECOME A FOCAL POINT FOR DOWNTOWN FT. WAYNE.

IWM Consulting was selected by the City of Ft. Wayne to remediate the former Omnisource site and worked closely with the EPA at each step of the clean up. The city of Ft. Wayne purchased the former scrap metal processing and distribution site and is overseeing the preparation of the site for its next use as a mixed use development, "North River", with plans to include an events center, soccer stadium, track and field facility, hotel and restaurants. The city of Ft. Wayne realized the potential for this site as a gateway to downtown and believes this revitalization will attract other businesses and continued investment to the area.
